dot mounting question
Hola, I just got my slide back from RAA, I had them mount a dot rail. I have an Aimpoint H1 and a Matchdot Ultradot I can use.
If I mount the Aimpoint on the rear of the slide, the front lens is even with the breech face, right at the rear of the ejection port.
My fear is I'll get a some blast on the lens during ejection, not sure if the casing could hit it. I could mount it on the forward part of the slide, but I think it would be too nose heavy.
OR, I could mount the Matchdot...
I appreciate the advice,
Kurt

Re: dot mounting question
you could put an extension on it if you don't have one already.

Re: dot mounting question
I’ve shot one of my pistols for many years without a shade mounted like that and have had no issues.
