Excellent bullets to load if you can find them. Somewhat of a hollow base

I think it was Graf and Son that had them on sale a few months back for $4.95 per 100. I bought 1000 and got free shipping on top of that. As they stand I was getting a bit of leading with 3.0 grains of BE, not a hot load at all. I then started coating them with Lee Liquid Alox and have had zero problems with leading. Pretty darn accurate swaged bullets if you ask me!
My load,MagTech 158 gr. RN, 1.550 OAL with 3 grains of Bullseye, Rem SP primer and crimped to .372. Most accurate load to date in my M-14

I picked up several thousand during the sale as well. Unfortunately I think they're soon to be gone for good I guess.
I also ordered some swaged bullets from a couple companies (Zero and Hornady) to test some loads in a Ransom Rest and see which I like best.
Took me forever to get primers, powder, dies, etc, but good now.
Virgil, what groups are you getting at 50 yards? Also are you cleaning off the lube before you coat with Alox?

Already did.
Best info I’ve seen is from R*P*DR
Rare is the test target to show “how good” the load really was with 10 or 12 shots at 50 yds

My favorite DR Load. I load it up with either 3.5gr BE or 3.6gr WST.

Grafs still has them in stock. Just ordered some more and picked up some 147gr L-FP while I was at it. NFI

Re: Mag Tech 158gr LRN
A couple of targets using my 14-6 today. Top target (if my light ink is hard to read) is a 50yd target shot with 3.6gr of BE and MagTec 158gr RN bullets. Both targets were shot from a sandbag. Bottom target sort of like a control to test my load was shot with American Eagle (Federal) factory 158gr RN. I can shoot them. Can not seem to get them right side up in post
