Kart 22 conversion
I recently purchased a Kart 22 conversion. When i got it in the mail the slide stop pin was missing. Does anyone know where where i can get one? Some time ago i had a phone number for the person who bought the rights to the conversion but i can't find it anymore. If i remember correctly he did not replied to my calls a few years ago. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Kart 22 conversion
The slide stop pins from Dvorak are not the same quality as the rest of the conversion, it seems to me he outsourced that part. I have one of his conversions, that I bought from the original owner and the pin was three pieces. My other Dworak conversion came with a Kart pin and a Kart magazine, go figure. I would suggest looking at Marvel or Nelson and see which meets your standard. You could email K.C. Crawford and ask him if he has source of quality pins. He used to sell Dworak conversions.

Slide stop has to float/pivot on the pin that is locked in place by the guide rod. I’m not sure if Nelson or Marvel is the same specs or not but I would guess yes they would work.Chris Miceli wrote:Maybe egw ?

the Kart conversion in this ad doesn't have an original slide stop pin. Seems like a Marvel is worth a try.

A Nelson pin will work but you will have to modify it. Pins from John Dworack work great and I see no reason not to get one from him. My original pin broke a while back, I got a replacement from John and it is running perfectly.

When i tried the nelson assembly it would not raise high enough to hold the slide back.

You might need to open the slot on the Nelson slide stop in to clear the slide. First try with slide off the frame. Then with the slide. This should let you know which one is interfering; most likely the slide.ASchlem wrote:When i tried the nelson assembly it would not raise high enough to hold the slide back.

Thanks John. I only gave it a quick try. I will investigate further.

Re: Kart 22 conversion
I modified a Nelson just like Jon indicated. I can send you a picture of what I did if that would help. It works fairly well now but not as well as the pin I got from dworack.
