paper targets
Anyone know of any good deals on 25 yard targets? Most suppliers seem to be charging as much for shipping as for the targets themselves. I'm looking to resupply for winter shooting with 25 yard slow fire targets and 25 yard repair centers.

Re: paper targets
I've used Pistoleer online for a long time. Best price I've found for targets+shipping total.

Try American Target. They claim they pay for the bulk of the shipping.

+1 On American Target company. I have been buying from them for years for the matches I run and they are the lowest cost and are good to work with. Give them a call and they can answer any questions and take your order. I also have them send me the tracking number(s) so I know exactly when UPS will deliver them in case of rain. Located in Denver so shipments won't take that long to reach you.

For what it is worth, they actually are located in Denver. They may have a dealer up there or something. On the top of their web site pages:
"1328 South Jason St. Denver, CO 80223". The 303 area code is also Denver.

Re: paper targets
Thanks guys! Looks like I can definitely save a few bucks with either recommendation. And thanks for the offer Chris but I need them now and don't mind the shipping as long as its not nuts. Ed always brings a bunch along for shooting while he's here. If I can get him off the range and into the woods he might even bring you a venison steak!

Re: paper targets
Or splurge and go to Kruger USA and get some nice German targets, believe me they are WAY nicer than the crappy US paper targets.

I have purchased from Alco Target Company, 2048 Central Avenue, Duarte, CA., 91010, PX # (818) 358-4814 for years. I buy the B-16 targets, which I believe is the slow fire 25 & 50 yd targets.

Re: paper targets
I'm a little disappointed with American Target. I just used up the last of my targets. I always bought the tag board. They must have changed their formula. The old ones would have defined holes from LSWC's. The new tag board targets just rip big raged holes. If they are backed up with cardboard the holes are more defined. At the indoor range where I practice the targets hang down with no backing. Next time I order targets I will try Kruger. They are a couple cents more per target but you get what you pay for. Maybe.

Kruger are very very nice targets. I ask like how the rings are numbered. Their shipping is outrageousmessenger wrote:I'm a little disappointed with American Target. I use Kruger and shoot them 3 times- once for the 22, once for CF, and once for 45. Next best is American Targets to get that sort of use out of them.
Kruger shipping is nuts, tho! I get it, it's big, bulky, heavy, and oddly shaped paper! If I could only hit it more often than not!

Re: paper targets
+1 on poor quality Am targets...l recall they used to be like toilet paper with rips and tears on every shot but now they are just awful.
Where is Tess? She used to ensure makers had a decent product.

Re: paper targets
Better watch it. The shipping is “free”, but the targets I saw on there last time cost double what they do direct from the manufacturer.Baydawg wrote:Amazon prime, if youre a member

Re: paper targets
Seems like champions choice carries a few sizes of Kruger targets but their prices aren't great.

Re: paper targets
This is presumably by CHL Targets, right? I wonder if anyone had experience with this and what is the quality?
Also, I've never seen any posts pointing at 800 pounds gorilla in the industry - Midway USA? 100 of B3 by The National Target Co. is $9.59 there, and "free shipping" promo is quite frequent.

Be careful, Midway may offer "free shipping," but I think there is a limit to the weight. A lot of business has gone to Brownells because of this according to some members on another forum.
YMMV.

Does anyone have experience with targets by The National Target Co.? There is seller on eBay pistoleerofficialshootingtargets that is selling targets by the above company - https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=nra+official+targets&_ssn=pistoleerofficialshootingtargets&item=272466829844&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=nra+official+pistol+targets+&_sacat=0, and eBay has 15% off promo today on sporting goods.
