Pistolsmith wanted Empty Pistolsmith wanted

Post by WV1911SHOOTER Mon Nov 05, 2018 4:49 pm

Gals and gents, looking for a 'smith in the Pa. area that can give my Les Baer PII/1.5 gun a nice BE trigger job as well as correcting an issue that has plagued the gun from the factory. Hammer hangs up on the half cock notch about 4-5 rounds of every mag when in slow fire.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR !

Thanks all, WV

Have you ensured the overtravel adjustment is set correctly?

I have been very pleased with the work Jim Milks at Innovative Custom Guns has done for me. Check out his his website at Innovativecustomguns.com.

Have you tried contacting Les Baer? I had one of his National Match models that began doubling occasionally. They sent me a shipping tag, fixed it, and shipped it back, no charge. Great trigger before and after.

My experience with Les Baer CS sucked. I had ejection issues and he basically blamed the ammo and some other stuff. My guess is if your pistol is doubling they want to take care of it asap to avoid legal issues. Ejection issued don't become a legal matter.

I've had this gun for several years and it has become a safe queen due to the fire control issues. Might as well have a nice BE trigger job done and have the other  issue corrected as well which will in effect void the LB warranty anywhoo.

Win. Win.
