It looks similar to the X-Line, I know there was another manufacturer of this style trigger (hinged 2 stage). I don't think either one did very well.

That's a curious old pistol. If it could only talk. There's some nice looking work there mixed with some shitty work. For instance, the grip safety fits like socks on a rooster!

never seen a Buehler mount on a 1911, but looks like it was done well,
seems like he hit the 1911 pep boys catalog a bit on all the add on's
Re: What kind of trigger is this?
Well there doesn't appear to be any kind of pin for the trigger to pivot on. So I have no idea what's up with that trigger set up.
Re: What kind of trigger is this?
I wonder if the trigger isn't just "artistic liscence"? Someone cut the trigger shoe to look fancy, but left it essentially a standard 1911 trigger. The connection looks like it could be just a piece of rod connecting a remnant of a shoe which was connected to the bow and the fancy shoe

Maybe an old Behlert pivoting trigger withe some holes drilled in the shoe?

Trigger developed by a guy in Europe a few years ago. I think his name is Geppert. Many tried it in NRA Action Pistol. not sure what the status is today.

Kinda cool system, more of a trigger bar with a hinged trigger. Is the trigger holder frame (can't think of a name for it) held into the receiver with a set screw from bottom of frame, thus making the trigger pull length somewhat adjustable? I can see where some refinement could make it feel nice. Would the sear spring trigger leg be strong enough. It looks very promising.
