Hammerli Gunsmith
Most people have heard that Larry Carter of Larry’s guns has past away.
Does anyone know the status of the company? I had placed an order on the site, but have not heard anything from them or received the order. The phones are not being answered. I know DeAnna has been there for a very long time, but there’s no way to get in touch with her.
Can someone recommend a gunsmith knowledgeable in Hammerli’s?
Does anyone know where Hammerli P240 .38 Special disassembly tool can be gotten?
Thank you.

You can kludge the .38 P240 takedown with a screwdriver, or you can get fancy and make your own tool with a Dremel tool and an old flathead screwdriver.

No word on Larry’s either. I’d contact Jon Eulette, he is experienced with Hammerlis, including the P240 in 22/32.

The main guy at Roco (I forget his name) knows Hammerlis. He did a few simple things on my 208 at Camp Perry. IIRC he was a Hammerli technician in the past.
I have no direct experience with either, but I am pretty sure Neal Stepp and Dave Salyer know their way around Hammerlis, at least the 208/215 family.
