Gunsmith for Hammerli Metal Work
Way back I recall reading about someone (Lou Lombardi?) grooving Hammerli barrels to accept regular .22 rimfire tip-off rings. Is there anybody doing something similar, or drilling and tapping for some other small “tactical” red dot base?
I’m looking to put a 208 on a diet for some smaller statured people.
Thanks,
Toonces

This is what I use on each of my three Hammerlis:

Absolutely top-of-the-line machining. No cutting on your gun required. I've posted about these earlier this year.

Jon is that your personal 208, it sure makes it very clean looking with a cut dovetail. That would look good with their CompC model too, less tube on the rear. I can still interchange filters and those apertures between the 9000 and my CompC 4moa. Very nice.

The Basic Xesse SF has 11MM dove tails and they make a weaver mount which I use

This was the easy button. Not having to ship the gun back out was the deciding factor. I have one on order with the RMR/SRO/407C/507C base, and an extra Docter/Burris/Vortex base.

Same here, mine is with a Vortex Venom. Kevin Wilkins' product is excellent design/machining and he is helpful and easy to work with. Switching back and forth between the dot and iron rear sight involves one hex screw takes about 10 seconds.
