GSG 1911 .22 magazine
This magazine is made by Hersteller German Sport Guns Gmbh and seems very well built. It has two loading knobs, one for 5 rounds and one for 10 rounds. I inserted it in my Les Baer target pistol that I have a Nelson conversion mounted on, and it fits fine - with a little nudge to get past the mag release. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet but hope that someone here might have some experience with these mags. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Work great. If doesn't, will probably be mag catch too high or too low.

I have a couple and they work ok on all of my frames except for my Led Baer. It fell out every time I shot it. There is a ridge running up the back of the mag that stops about an inch shy of the top. I made an aluminum spacer and glued it on. Now it works fine. I will try to post a picture.

OK. My mag body is unblued but the rib steps down about 1/16" about where your spacer starts. I need to do a side by side comparison with the Nelson mags to see how they differ. I don't have my "workshop" anymore so making a spacer may be a challenge. However, where there's a will there's a way!
Thanks again.

you can get magazine shims from Travis at Marvel Precision
they're pre-cut & have pressure sensitive tape to hold them in place

Re: GSG 1911 .22 magazine
Interesting day at the range today. I took the GSG .22 magazine along with my Nelson mags to see what would happen. Surprise, surprise. The GSG magazine worked fine in my Les Baer CMP pistol. I ran two mag loads with 5 rounds and two mag loads with 10 rounds with no problems whatsoever. I shot the first mag load kneeling in case the mag dropped out when I fired. It didn't happen. Maybe I'm just lucky. I'll probably check on the shims at Marvel just in case my luck runs out. :0)

I have a Nelson on a SA Mil Spec and it runs with Nelson mags and GSG mags. However,
the Nelson mags do not run in the GSG.

I had to file a little bit on the left hand side upper lip of the GSG so that it would slide in smoother. All of 5 minutes for 5 magazines. Now they go in very smoothly.
