Springs for Irons Empty Springs for Irons

I have only shot 1911s with optics - 9-10Ib. recoil spring/ 17-18 Ib. main (I think). Having sold that gun and starting over I am going to shoot irons for a while and save my pesos for another Matchdot and base. My primary load has been 4.2gr. WST/185 gr. Zero lead bullets which worked very well. if I only shoot the powder puff load in the pistol, what weight would any of you use?
Thanks,
Mike

14-15 lb recoil spring might not be a bad place to start.

I use iron sights, a 14 pound recoil spring with loading of 4.0gr WST and 185gr LSWCHP bullets. So you're in the ballpark.
