Benelli extractor popping off. Empty Benelli extractor popping off.

Benelli MP95E .32 wadcutter. I've had the extractor pop off 3 times now. First two times I noticed it, and was able to find the extractor and plunger, but did loose the spring both times. This time, last night, I didn't notice that it popped off until cleaning it today. Might be able to find one or both parts next range visit, if no one sweeps the floor. This is getting irritating, and could get expensive if I can't find the parts. The pistol still extracts as long as the chamber is kept clean by brushing every 5 rounds, but if I forget, there is an occasional alibi. Any tips / tricks into keeping this from happening? I'm very close to selling both Benelli's (.22 & .32) and buying a Pardini conversion, but I'm knocking on the door of Expert with these Benelli's and really don't want to relearn another pistol. Thanks.

Don't give up on the Benellis! I posted some ideas to your thread over on TargetTalk.

Tip - an AR15 detent spring is a perfect, longer match to the Benelli extractor spring. Cut it to suit the length and tension requirements. And the retaining rod is just under .100" diameter, 2.5mm. A #40 drill bit provides a great blank.

I may have no choice. Have you tried finding parts for one since Larry's passing? Cardinal Shooting Center first told me they'd be up and running with Benelli parts by the end of September. Well, here it is the end of October and nothing. The .32 is now dead in the water. The .22 is still running near perfect, but for how long without parts?

Anyhow, thanks for the reply over in Target Talk. The link to the year old conversation will be helpful if / when I can get some parts.
