45 Winchester Magnum
Folks, I just bought a Lar Grizzly in 45 Winchester Magnum. This has been my dream gun for 4 years and I found one, new in the box, and only 60 minutes from my house. Sometimes waiting and researching is well worth it. My question is, does anyone know if there is a case gauge available for this round? I have been told to just use the barrel. I would like to have an actual case gauge if that is at all possible. Any answers and help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, 2Milesaway.

Re: 45 Winchester Magnum
A quick websearch says gauges are not made for this caliber. However, you should be able to use your calipers to measure the OAL and diameter of the cartridge.

Hope this helps.

Would Dillon make you one? Just a thought.

A decent machinist should be able to make you a case gauge. Since it would be a one-off project, expect to pay a significantly higher price.

Or you could always just pull the barrel and use it as a case gauge, which would probably be the cheapest and maybe easiest route.
