Pics of Vortex Venom mounted on Sig P210A Standard
The P210A Standard is a pretty new model. I wasn't able to find any pictures of anyone mounting a dot to one. I did some research and learned the rear dovetail cut is a fairly standard cut so was able to get this EGW mount that accommodates the Vortex Venom.

I had a local smith install it since I don't have a sight pusher. It appears to fit well, there's a bit of a gap up front between the slide and mount due to the contour of the slide but that was expected. The rear slide serrations are still usable.
So far I'm super impressed with this pistol for the money. Has a very sweet 3.25-3.5 pound 2 stage trigger. The slide and lockup is buttery smooth thanks to the fitment and the slick finish they apply over the stainless. I was impressed by the fact you can ride the slide home and actually feel a mechanical lockup, similar to a nice 1911 but not as tight. It's a lot lighter than I prefer my actual match guns to be about 3.25# but will make a nice CF gun to play with.

Congrats! I shot my buddy's when I was on vacation this summer. I was really impressed with the trigger, feel, and accuracy of it. He had a Trijicon mounted on his. One of the nicest target 9mm I've had the pleasure to shoot. Let us know how you do with it in your CF matches.

I decided to take the plunge and mount the same optic on mine after looking at the photos above. Ditto the comments above on the slide lockup fit & feel and the quality of the trigger pull. The only thing I don't like is that mine ejects the brass at about 15 degrees from vertical into the sky, it's impossible to catch the brass in a net! I may have to ask Sig if it can be tuned. Right now I have to shoot it indoors to find my brass!

I know between the Standard and Target models there are differences in the gips, sights and front serrations.
Is there any differences between triggers? I know the target model was hyped in magazine reviews as having the best factory 9mm trigger, and accuracy of the box.
How would you rate it compared to a 1911 in 9mm? I would think the weight of a 1911 would calm down the snappy feel of the 9mm round.

The only difference in the Target vs Std is the grips, front serrations and adj sight. This was confirmed by Sig CS. Trigger should be same and is sweet.
If I wanted a top notch match 9mm I would spend $3k+ on a full custom from Jon but would prefer to shoot 38 special out of a 1911 for CF. 9mm is a fun distraction but too snappy for me to want to shoot in a match.

For mine, I load 147gr bullets at 850-900 fps. It's soft shooting and accurate. Note, it has a 1:10 twist barrel.

That was my next challange, get some thing that shoots a bit softer but still accurate. I've been shooting some 115xtp bullets at about 1150fps and its pretty dang snappy. Which 147gr bullets are you using. I may try the 147 Zero JHP.

Hi All.
Got same setup myself except NRA 2019 commemorative EGW mount and Vortex Venom. My gun likes heavy bullets. Planning on getting Federal Syntech 150s when these become available as I do not wish to reload except for 45s.
