45 die for SWC seating on shoulder
I use a Dillon 650 and am looking to upgrade my loading of LSWC heads to seat the bullets on the shoulder instead of the nose of the bullet. What die would allow this for Brazos 160, 185, & 200 heads?
Thanks in advance.

Backbore an extra seating plug 3/8 diameter or get a Lee die and drill that. Good luck

If you aren't handy with a drill/mill/lathe, there's this guy:

This auction is for a 38, as I don't see seating stems for a 45, but I have one of his 45 stems for an RCBS die. Works perfect.

I have one from this seller in .45acp in a Dillon seat die. Works like a champ and easy to clean up.Dcforman wrote:If you aren't handy with a drill/mill/lathe, there's this guy:

I have a modified Lee seater as well, works fine but harder to clean without readjusting.

Just use a 9 MM resizing die as a seater die for the SWC bullets. The bullet shoulder lands on the base of the die ( square) and the bullet nose goes up into the die.
Been seating my SWC bullets like that for about 40 years now.

I bought this from the same ebay seller last year and the tolerances were sloppy, the stem was much looser than the Dillon OEM.Dcforman wrote:If you aren't handy with a drill/mill/lathe, there's this guy:

I bought the stem for the .38, works great for the 158 gr swc, dewc, and my cast wc from 50 mold. On hbwc, I use the flat stems, because they have that little rim on the bullet that the shoulder seating stem mars.
