CCI SV in New Box Trouble
For those of you that purchased some of the CCI SV in the new packaging and the performance was inferior to previous lots...
Did the replacement ammo from CCI perform any better? I remember reading where several folks contacted CCI about replacement cases.
I purchased a case of this newer packaged ammo a while back. I figured I would try out several boxes before passing judgement. After numerous issues with this ammo during practice, I have decided I would not trust this stuff to shoot it in a match. It is all over the road, performance-wise.
Did CCI officially recall this ammo or give out any faulty lot numbers? What in the world did they do to this stuff? I have a partial case of the older stuff in the dark blue box and it runs like a champ. The only issue with that particular case was they were quite liberal with the wax application.

Re: CCI SV in New Box Trouble
What is a while back? I have shot two cases of CCI SV since January one new type box and one of the older box. I can not tell them apart other than the box. Target USA just had a shipment come in today and I ordered another case.

Re: CCI SV in New Box Trouble
Suggestion, call CCI, and ask for the tech support person in charge of this. I did a year ago, described my problem, and he sent replacements that worked better. I just bought a case a month ago, and I've had zero problems.
He will probably ask you for your "lot number", and then may ask you to ship it all back to him. It took a month or so, but he finally sent me replacements for the questionable ammo. The new ones seem to work fine.
I'm mostly repeating the advice I was given by others in this forum, and in the end, everything came out fine.

Re: CCI SV in New Box Trouble
Thanks for the response on this, especially mikemyers. I probably should have reworded the question to ask if everyone who had ordered CCI SV recently had been satisfied with the product.
The performance difference between both of my cases are like night and day, so I am going to initiate an exchange on this with CCI.

Re: CCI SV in New Box Trouble
Returned two cases of CCI SV and received two cases back from factory. Returned are marked for European sales. The returned ammo seems to work, but I will be apprehensive about purchasing any more - assuming that one will be able to find ammo. The Mexican Pistol Match SV seems to work well.
