Thoughts on a S&W 14-7?
I have been eyeballing a S&W 14-7 in 38 special at a local shop has on consignment for $425. It looks to have been set up for PPC with one of those sight rails. I don't own a revolver and of course I would like to add one to the collection. I do have dies because I own a 357 lever gun. So all I would need is 38 special brass to get shooting.
Is there anything I should look out for? I am looking for any input I can get before I go there at asking for them to take it out of the case.

That’s crazy,
I’ve been looking for a reasonably priced model 14 locally for a couple years now with no luck.

As we all know, most times you get what you pay for. With it being priced like this has me hesitant. Anything I should look for while checking it out this afternoon?

make sure it doesn't have a bulge in the barrel from a squib load.Seen a few of these type guns from squibs.

Assuming there's nothing wrong with it, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. In fact, if you don't get it, where is it located?

PPC guns not always compatible with bullseye.
Generally too heavy
Pulling the rib is an option if the front sight and rear sight channels weren’t milled off to fit the rib.

Since that’s a Bomar rib it may be just removable leaving factory sights intact
