I have the Q5 steel frame Pro. It's a very, very nice pistol. I haven't shot bullseye for it but just took it to the range once before the COVID pandemic hit the fan. It was quite accurate with Atlanta Arms cheaper ammo so should be even better with some precision loads.

I've got a Q5 Match Steel Frame and plan on trying it for CF when matches resume.
Under General Discussion, NMC League Match 34 and 36 I posted some targets that I shot with my Q5.

Re: WALTHER Q5
I am working on a project, I plan to get a M2 5 inch from a member, upgrade change the striker spring ($10), replace the sights with an LPA in the back and a dawson in the front ($100) and lastly once I am confident in the gun get the barrel welded or rebarrel with a Jarvis Barrel ($200). Sprinco also makes a recoil system that evidently works well in a Q5. All in I hope to be under $1000 for a good shooter.
I had a Vortex Venom on hand, and got an EGW mount so it could double as a really nice house gun. And I could swap out the sights in minutes.
I figure it will hold about 6 inches out of the box at 5 yards and under 3 with the Jarvis barrel and good ammo.

I have a Sprinco recoil system but don't use it, I don't really see that it does much of anything. Spend the $ on something else.

Could ensure a more consistent lockup. With the stock barrel that looks like it holds the 9 ring.

I'm not the best shot in the world, but what I've found with my Q5 is I have to be VERY conscientious about fully pulling and holding the trigger.
During timed and rapid if I don't concentrate it's very easy to relax just a little bit and send two or three shots downrange instead of one.
