SW22 Victory 1911 grips
I've been wanting 1911 style grips on my S&W SW22 Victory for a long time. I've tried other grips and just didn't like any of them. So I spent a few hours manually reverse Engineering my Victory with calipers and a straight edge (no laser scanner here), modeled these grips in CAD, then 3D printed. It took two
tries, but I think I nailed it. I put a little skateboard tape on the front and back straps. Can't wait to shoot my next match with it!

Good stuff. Any way you could make it such that you could use normal 1911 slabs or would that dimensionally not work?

That was goal #1. But it didn't pan out. There's a lot going on there. The biggest issue is that I dramatically changed the grip angel which forced me to put the lower screw what appears to be rearward. Also, the bottom screw hole is on a boss and the grips have a recess to accommodate the boss.chiz1180 wrote:Good stuff. That is what it was looking like but I am not familiar enough with that platform to be sure. still cool though, excellent application of the technology.Hammbone wrote:That was goal #1. I do like that! I always thought the victory grip was the worst of the budget 22's.

I would be Interested in how it shoots, Perhaps you might post some before & after photos. Please.
Now the big ask: Any possibility of getting a copy of the 3D Printer code?
