Brazos 32 78gr Bullets Empty Brazos 32 78gr Bullets

Post by Jon Eulette Mon Apr 05, 2021 3:17 pm

I’ve been playing with a 32 acp barrel I made for my MG4. It’s 0.312 bore, 1:10 twist and custom minimum dimension chamber of my own design. The T&B 62 gr bullets were just so so at 25 yds. I picked up some 0.313 bullets from Brazos and my initial groups were decent but my crimp was probably too tight. So I loaded 0.330 crimp Starline at 0.918 OAL and 1.5 BE ammunition. These baby’s shoot! X ring and nice clusters were my friend at 25 yds.
I shot two 50 yd targets and squeaked out a 92 & 93 SF. Held 9 ring. I haven’t been shooting much and was not holding very good, but felt like I was impacting close to my call. I need to find a new Ransom location so I can RR some groups.
I look forward to trying some lighter loads and trying N310.
So from hand at 25 I think I have a winner!
Here’s MG4 with Eulette Precision Rail, Aimpoint 9000 and custom Rink grips duplicated from a pair Cesare Morini made me in 94.

Well, we do have a Ransom Rest here at the PRGC, wink-wink Smile
I gave up on my Pardini after many unsuccessful attempts. Now I'm curious how would MG4 do for me.

How do you mount an MG4 in a RR? Custom grip insert? I don't see one listed on their website.

Andrew (precision target grips) makes them. I have one. I don't have the MG yet of course .... reminds me of the Beatles song "Baby you can drive my car" :-)

Andrew the "precision grips" guy will make you a Ransom Rest insert for anything.  I have one for Pardini and it works well.  You replace the grip with his insert.

Hey Jon,
As part of your testing will you be able to compare the 32 acp vs. the standard 32 s&w long WC (accuracy & performance)?  And if the 32 acp is favorable will you be selling them?
