Anyone have experience with brazos 158 gr rn for the distinguished revolver match? They're about the only thing available currently...

I like them, I use 3.5 WST seated to the crimp grove. I haven't ransom rested the load, but I can easily hold the black at 50 with that load in my 586.

Love these bullets. I know I am definitely buying more, probably this week. My load is 3.4 Bullseye, Remington cases and WSP.
I am presently a marksman. Have been able to shoot low 90s at 50 yards with these. Shot a 92-2x SF the other day indoors over the weekend, so by my standards the accuracy is there.
Taking up the revolver, I tried several loads over sand bags with a 2x scope at 25. There might be a better load, but I think my time is better spent working on the short line. (Sorry for the rotated pictures, I’m new at this.)

Are these a naked lead, lubed bullet or coated?

If it helps, and I’m not trying to be rude but Brazo’s says on their site that you should not wait for anything to be “in stock” to order, they suggest that you order what you want.
I’m just saying that if you are picking only this style bullet from Brazo’s because it is showing in stock — skip that, pick the bullet you truly want, and order it.

Good point. Supply overall seems to be slowly getting better.
For DR, it’s either the round nose or the semi wadcutter. Round nose seems to group better, though YMMV.

Re: Brazos 38 rn bullets.
Don't worry about ordering from Brazos. Great outfit. I ordered four bags on 8/11. Two bags 45 160 gr, 1 bag 38 125 gr, and 1 bag 9mm 125 gr. Some were listed in stock and some said back order. My order was delivered 8/27.
It seems they cycle through their sizes and styles frequently enough that things do not stay on back order long enough to greatly hamper delivery.
Since I found them I cast very few bullets. Try them, you will be pleased too.
