Federal .22 in CMP Estore
CMP listed "Federal" .22 in their estore for $354/5000. Though they are calling it "Federal", their FB page announcement shows a photo of CCI SV and the estore description lists it as part number 35, which I believe is the part number for CCI SV.
Wondering if this is the case....?

Cci is owned by federal so it .ight have shipped from a federal location in a cci box... federal 77 part numbers are usually 3 digit and typically in the 700s... but that could change as well

Re: Federal .22 in CMP Estore
My last order of CCI SV (from the CCI website) said it shipped from Federal. I think they are both owned by Vista Outdoors or something like that. I am thinking this is CCI SV. I ordered a case but I am sure it will be a while before I find out.

At 354 per case of 5,000, it looks like the price is creeping down. Maybe in a couple years we will be back where we were 2 years ago.

$354 is what the CMP has charged for their bulk 22, regardless of manufacturer, for at least several years. Good price at this point, I just ordered a case.

Re: Federal .22 in CMP Estore
I just ordered a case so they still have it in stock.
I know that I have seen this on the line however I'm
not sure what pistols it was being shot in.
I figure I can use it for slow fire and practice and conserve my bulk Eley.
I used the last case I bought of Agila this way due to light loads every 1-200 rounds that would not
function the Pardini.
HOPEFULLY CMP will again offer the bulk Eley at some point.
Love that stuff for the $355/case it was being sold at.
100% functional in my Pardini.

How do you get recognized by CMP? I have sent documentation in the form of club membership, Gov't ID for proof of age, residence and CHL NO response.. Would like to buy some ammo but continues to be rejected due to CLUB (I am a member of one of their affilliates, not just any gun club!)
Any tips/tricks appreciated. I emailed info to custserve@thecmp.org
Thanks - Kevin

Call them... ask for Melissa or Laura. They were very helpfull when I got setup. You'll need a "current" membership card with an expiration date, or an email from club management indication your a member in good standing.

Re: Federal .22 in CMP Estore
Sometimes they don't move real fast. I just renewed my certification, took about a week for them to process it. If it's been more than that for you, it's possible your club let their affiliation lapse. As mentioned above you can call...be prepared to wait on hold for a bit but they're pretty helpful folks once you finally talk to a live person.K7ZS wrote:How do you get recognized by CMP? Thanks for the replies, my club is still listed in their database ... I called today, went straight to voicemail ... but I'll try earlier
There are 2 numbers .. 1 in Ohio and 1 in Alabama ... my guess is Alabama is the right one.
Thanks guys

Just ordered 2 cases of the Federal (hopefully CCI) standard velocity from CMP. Total with and free shipping was $757.56. Now just have to wait for it to arrive.

Re: Federal .22 in CMP Estore
Folks, just to follow up on this... I shot an 800 Agg match at CMP Talladega yesterday. They will sell up to 100 rounds of ammo to competitors and people that purchase range time. Anyway, they were selling 50 round boxes of CCI SV out of the cardboard cases, along with the Armscor .22. The cardboard 5K case boxes of the CCI SV had the part number 35 on the side. Doing the math here, I can say I am fairly certain that CCI SV is what they have listed in the estore as "Federal."

Has anyone received their CMP 22 as yet? Just curious if it was Federal, or CCI.
Thanks

I've bought a lot from CMP. I figure 3 to 4 months from order to shipment. I placed an order on June 10 and am still waiting. I wouldn't plan on seeing your order until after the first of the year.

I just got the same sales email from the CMP. However, if you go to their website, it is not there.

Re: Federal .22 in CMP Estore
I just checked. The ammo is no longer shown on CMP's online store. Looks like they're sold out. Odd that Jimmy G. got a sales email. I've never received a sales email.

Re: Federal .22 in CMP Estore
I got the email this morning as well. Description and picture were CCI. I clicked on the link and it took me to the item description and it said they had 40 cases. I tried to order one but my state membership was out of date so by the time I checked back, that CCI page was gone. Better luck next time I suppose.
