What physical and mental details inside your shot plan or technique contribute to the most X's and 10's?

I have two, but no time right now to expand on them.  They are both something said by others. Namely Mario Lozoya, and Fred M quoting his mentor Jake Shevlin.  More later if this topic takes off.

Running practices and calling and pushing buttons detract from my ability to concentrate on the elements of my shot plan. When I'm "spelled" at the mic and push-button my shots are grouped tighter.

In other words, shut out the errant thoughts and background noises.

In a word:

Trigger.

When I am smoking I have full focus on, and full control over, the trigger. It is smooth, aggressive, and breaks right on time.

And. It. Is. Marvelous.

The things said by Lozoya, and Shevlin via Fred M, help me to maximize stability and alignment (to my eye AND aim area).  Then if the trigger is of mechanical quality, The pull is easy and somewhat automatic.

A positive attitude, focusing on the 10's and X's that I shoot, and disregarding the bad shots.
