Steyr LP50 HP for Bullseye practice
Hope to improve my hold and follow through for regular bullseye. Asked Pilkguns to set the trigger at 2 lbs., and ordered it with a 1911 ambi grip.
Planning on just using the irons on it.
My gear consists of a Ruger Mark IV, Reddot, tunned with Tandem and Volquartzen upgrades. 2 lb trigger pull.
SA Range officer with a vortex red dot and a Rink grip, otherwise stock. 4lb. trigger pull. I suck with it!
Thank you in advance for your Comments advice.

You need to call Pilkguns back and have them set the trigger at 3.5lbs. It will help you with your 45.

Actually you need a different trigger (the "heavy trigger" if memory serves) to get to 3.5lb. It's not that expensive if you get them to fit it as original equipment. Mine goes very very light for airgun matches so you aren't losing that capability.

A red dot is easy to take on and off with Steyr Weaver mounts and the mounts do not get in the way of the iron sights when the scope and rings are off the pistol:
It is reassuring to go to the workshop to fire several magazines and see if you are still holding the whatever-ring or even making groups instead of gatherings. For TF and RF consider the 7 and 8 rings of the 10 meter Air Pistol target to be the 9 ring of a 25 yard B-8 target. For SF use the 10m target rings like a B-6. The scaling is close enough.
Oh yeah, use Krüger targets. The cardstock makes nice clean holes.

I use TQ-6 and TQ-7 targets at 25 feet.

Dayum. Thomas Rink is up there with Vladimir Chichkov of Pardini USA for making my credit card try to jump into action. These are images from Rink's website for Ambidextrous grip, 1911 style, walnut, symetric shape, for shooting with right and left hand, with checkering and oiled.
If I did a bit of front strap and mainspring stippling I would be all set, as I prefer the basic Steyr trigger:

Re: Steyr LP50 HP for Bullseye practice
Appreciate the target and grip suggestions. I shall continue to print my own on cardstock.
Received the Steyr pistol with the trigger set at 2 lbs to match my Ruger Mark IV's 2 lbs, they canted and set the trigger for my left hand. Satisfied with Pilkguns 1911 ambidextrous grip.
My fill tank is a like-new but used and recertified Scuba tank good for 4 and a half years. Everything works well.
I manage 40 shots then prior to 50 rounds she slows down the mag advance just as expected. Satisfied with everything so far. I checked local ordinances for my community and I am legal to shoot in my backyard. The sound level is much lower than my 22. in fact ear protection is not needed.
Thank you

LP50 is great for training.
I use a quick-release AimPoint mount on mine, easy to switch between dot and irons. Zero holds well enough.
