Hammerli & Walther Hammerli mags

Can anyone advise if my Hammerli 208/215 mags will work in a yet to be acquired Hammerli X-Esse SF?

The magazine catches are totally different between the 208/215 and the X-Esse. The Swiss Hammerlis have a catch at the base, while the Walther ones have a side catch up by the trigger.

It's remotely possible you could cut the slot in the older magazine, but it would be a shame to do that. Sell the mag to a 208 owner and use the funds to buy several new X-Esse ones.

 Thanks -TT-  I figured that would be too good to be true.  And roger that on cutting and grinding on 208 mags!!

Paul, try some s&w model 41 mags first. They can be modded to fit the 208 and may also work in your gun, for a lot less.
