John Chenelle has left the range
I do not think my father was a member here, But he was an avid National Match shooter in his day and someone may have known him. John Chenelle age 89 passed on December 13 2022, he lived a wonderful life. Was not a very rich man but did not struggle. Had a nice retirement. And was a good father

I do not believe I knew him personally but I am sorry for your loss. I hope you continue on in the sport with him on your shoulder.

I am too new to the sport to have known him. You do your father honor in his memory. I endeavor so my own children will speak so kindly of me when my time comes. Wishing peace for you and your family.

Re: John Chenelle has left the range
My Dad shot a lot in the late 50's early 60's on the west coast of Florida and northward, who knows they may have crossed paths. My Dad was a sharpshooter and really enjoyed bullseye. He too retired to a nice modest retirement and lived out his days on the Florida Gulf coast. He had a lot of great memories from shooting Bullseye in it's heyday.
He got me interested in competitive shooting and gave me a love of the outdoors and shooting sports. Sorry for your loss. My Dad's 100th birthday is coming up, I too will remember my Dad fondly.

@lonegunman. It’s too bad they didn’t know each other in retirement, my father has been North port Florida since 2003, my father’s prime shooting days were the 50’s and 60’s also in Illinois and Indiana and Camp Perry Ohio
