It's all I buy, Donnie is great to deal with and delivers promptly. I have been making my own 200 gr, lately. Jon suggested them to me a few tears back.

Donnie lives about an hour south of me and comes up to our clubs Steel Challenge matches, great guy to deal with.
I like his 180gr flat base a lot, my last order I got some of his 200gr coated, they look nice but I haven’t shot any yet.

I've used his bullets (among others) since I started shooting BE in 2015. Always fast shipping, reasonable prices, very friendly, and the bullets are GREAT quality!
Pleasure doing business with him!

Re: Summers Enterprises Bullets
Has anyone tried the 200gr coated SWC with the no lube groove? These look interesting to me.

I like his bullets cheap and are very consistent. The Flat base can shoot lights out, but you have to expand your brass, belling will mess up the flat base and result in flyers.

Re: Summers Enterprises Bullets
What powder, powder charge and crimp are you using with the Summers bullets? And do they lead your barrel?

Re: Summers Enterprises Bullets
Have never had leading with these bullets. They are standard bullet lube, not the coated bullets.
I use from 3.4 up to 4.0 Bullseye. I need to venture into my WST and Titegroup. Crimp has ranged from 0.463 to 0.468 depending on what I’m doing. I load for my guns and the ones I build, so I’m all over the place.

Re: Summers Enterprises Bullets
I used to buy those bullets because they were the cheapest. They shoot just as good as any other bullet of this type, but few batches that I used all have a lube dried and crumbed out of the grooves. It was so annoying to inspect every bullet, find the peaces of the lube in the box and put them back to the bullet before placing bullet to the brass, that I stopped buying them. Switched to Zero bullets and never looked back.Jon Eulette wrote:Have never had leading with these bullets. They are standard bullet lube, not the coated bullets.

I had one batch I received like that, I received them during the winter months so I suspect they got cold and were handled roughly by the USPS.
I contacted Donny and when he came up to a match at our range he swapped them out for me.
Speaking about lube, I used to shoot Dardas bullets and I preferred his lube because it was much softer. Since he has closed up shop, I wish someone else would start using a lube similar.

Re: Summers Enterprises Bullets
I cast my own but keep commercial made bullets on hand for when I run short of my own. I use a 50-50 Bees wax and Alox mix which stays soft in the bullet grooves, It is a little smokie but prefer it over the hard blue lube which dries and falls out of the grooves the commercial Red lube seems to do a better job.
The commercial bullets with lube missing from the grooves I just run them through my bullet Luber Sizer.

Re: Summers Enterprises Bullets
I have used Summers 175 swc flat bevel base hi tek bullets and I love them. Good looking, uniform, no exposed lead and lube. Squeaky clean barrel. So far my favorite non jacketed bullets. Summers is a nice guy on the phone and quick shipping.
