New Hammerli 208/215 Gizmos
For those of you who love your Hammerli's, but are jealous of all those [new fancy European 22's with recoil reducing reciprocating weight system]'s on the line...
Thought I'd share some new pics. Dane Hogle started manufacturing a replacement mount piece for 208/215 rails that fit in the weight dovetail. These new mount pieces have a picatinny rail on the bottom, and work with the new rails from Red Feather, and PROBABLY will work with the old Larry's/Hammerli/Knapp rails. I've heard some people had some trouble with tolerances. Personally, the mount piece worked just fine with my unbranded mount (Larry's?).
The Picatinny rail allows you to mount Dane's Recoil Dampening System. So now you can be as modern as the new kids with the old school cool Hammerli. I have no financial interest in any of this, just a customer and friend of Dane's. I haven't shot the Hammerli with the RDS yet, but I like the way it makes my Marvel feel.

Something Dave didn’t mention was that you can fine tune the position of the weight on allowing you to fine tune the gun balance, much more versatile than the Hammerli dovetail weights. Also gives flexibility to mount at mantis or scatt. My 208 was one of the guns used for prototyping, and I have this set up on mine at the moment (typically shoot irons with my 208) it has the recoil feel of a Pardini with Hammerli ergonomics. I too have no financial interest, just glad to see parts starting to be made for the 208 again.

No shit. You'd have to pry my 208S out of my cold dead hands. Would be the absolute last 22 I would sell by a long margin.Jon Eulette wrote:Hammerli jealous of a Pardini? Good Lord I’m glad I wasn’t eating something, I would have choked. The sacrilege…….

I have been shooting a Pardini Bullseye SP for the last three years. I like it and I shoot it well. I acquired a couple Hammerli's and I'm afraid The Pardini is now a spare for my spare. Safe queen.
