Eley Bullseye Pistol X reviews
All of the posts that I could find on the Eley Bullseye Pistol X ammunition were at least a few years old. Does anyone have any recent feedback on the quality of the ammunition? Is anyone using it regularly for matches?

Re: Eley Bullseye Pistol X reviews
I am one of several folks who shoot Bullseye X in our weekly league. I am working on my second case of 5000 and have had 2 failures to fire in the 6500+ rounds fired. Both had light firing pin strikes. 1 was in my GSP Expert, the other in my Nygord Pardini.
It is accurate and reliable. Recoil is consistent and shows light smoke and no flash that I have seen (unlike Norma match). Keeps a reasonably clean breech and bolt face for me.
My impressions for comparison:
Norma Match (recent batch) - noticeable muzzle flash, reasonable accuracy, very wet with lube, need ti wipe off fingers after loading during match. Had 2 rounds of 1000 with poorly formed bullets.
Seller & Bellot - DIRTY chamber, bolt and breech. Accurate. Odd spark or hot particle on firing. Smoky.
Aguila SE SV - Another dirty shooter. 2 or 3 misfires of 1000 with solid FP strikes. Smoky. Accurate but uncalled flyers?
CCI SV 100rd boxes (#32) - very accurate, lightly dirty, longest ammo but only Pardini has issues with it feeding.
Eley Target - decent accuracy but not great. Of 1000rds, had several (>5, <10) failures to fire with solid FP hits. Less reliable in HS Victor.
Pistols I have used, most rounds fired first:
- 2 HS Victors, a 107 and an early Hamden ML
- Nygord Pardini, 4 weight version
- GSP Expert
- Hammerli 208s (just got it, and waiting on grips that fit)

Re: Eley Bullseye Pistol X reviews
Been using it for matches in my current generation Pardini's since I got them. Pardini USA say that it was developed specifically for those guns. Works almost flawlessly and is very accurate, as far as I can tell. Just a couple of defects in several thousand rounds, each of them went bang the second time. Suits the gun better than anything else I've tried.
Slightly hotter than Eley Yellow Box Target.
I use Aguila Super Extra SV for training. As stated above, much more smokey and dirty and also see occasional fliers, but it cycles the guns reliably with quite rare defects.

Won't run in my 208s. Many soft hits. Chamber is clean and runs CCI flawlessly. Have not yet tried others.

Thank you for the feedback. I think I'll buy a brick to try in my Marvel.

I would like to understand how a top tier ammo manufacturer cannot seem to apply a sticker to the box cleanly. Also the lid to box does not fit very good.
Using a Pardini Bullseye I have had 2 duds in the first 3k of the case I bought. I have not shot it very much at 50 yds but I expect it should be good for training.
TAC-22: Fewer duds, cheaper and shoots just as good at 50ft

Its the most accurate at 50 yards out of my Pardini with Lapua made Wolf 2nd and yellow box SK third. No issues and I've gone through about 2500.

How is the reliability? I have two cases of this exact lot that’s great for accuracy, but I can’t get through ten rounds without at least one failure to fire. That’s in a marvel, AA Marvel Pro, and two different Pardinis.

Wanted to love this stuff. I bought three cases (2 of 1 lot and 1 of a different lot) a few years ago. I get so many misfires it’s crazy. At least 3-10 a 50pk. Drives me nuts. Multiple proven firearms.

I never found anything that would outshoot CCI Pistol Match in my Hammerli 208s. Of course, different strokes for different folks.
