Eley Bullseye Pistol .22 Ammo
Anybody have any experience with the Eley BE Pistol .22 Ammo?
What did you think of it. How did it compare to SK Standard or other similar ammo?

Bullseye x from Pardini?
Seems like excellent stuff
Formulated for pistol under 1000 FPS
A special not paraffin lubricant.
I’ve got a brick, shoots well.

I bought a case on a special from Pardini. Only shot a couple of boxes so far, but functions well and seems accurate. No formal, i.e. Ransom Rest, tests yet.

I'm still on my first brick, but I'm averaging one click - no bang per box in my Pardini. On examination they appear to have good hits, and fire on the second try. They are otherwise giving good results at 50 yds.

Are you saying one out of 50 is a misfire?
I bought two bricks, have only used four boxes of 50, but not a mis-fire yet.

It might be configured for Pardini dimensions.
I’ll run a box thru Nelson tonight.

Re: Eley Bullseye Pistol .22 Ammo
I've shot about 2 bricks. No misfires or FTF's or any ammo related malfunction. Very smooth. Seems to suit both 5"and 6" very nicely. Just a bit more "oomph" than Eley Target, Lapua Pistol King or Aguila Pistol Match, which seems to suit the Pardini perfectly. IMHO.
I just ordered some more.

Re: Eley Bullseye Pistol .22 Ammo
It looks to be priced similarly to SK pistol match. Any comparisons to that?
Re: Eley Bullseye Pistol .22 Ammo
Didn’t like the Nelson
Several did not fire on first strike on a clean gun.
Very accurate though
And clearly don’t shoot it over Paraffin lubed ammo!

Re: Eley Bullseye Pistol .22 Ammo
I got to test some of the Bullseye Pistol X this weekend. I was shooting it alongside Lapua Center-X. I ran it through a Hammerli Xesse 6", a Ruger MKII Competition Target, a Ruger MKIV 6.88" and a Hammerli 215 at 50 yds, one hand hold. Unfortunately, I do not have a beautiful Pardini to run it through.
Like Radjag mentioned, it has a bit more oomph. Someone mentioned a comparison with SK pistol match above. I felt like it had more power than the pistol match and it grouped slightly better for me. I never had any issues with failure to fire or feed. It all ran through each of the pistols without issue. I felt accuracy overall was very good. I have tested a lot of Eley offerings lately. This is the only product of theirs that I have been pleased with.
The only issue I had was that it did not group well at all in my Hammerli 215 at 50 yds. It grouped well in all of the other pistols.
In this weekend's session I gave the edge to Center-X. However, in my opinion, in my shaky hands, the Bullseye Pistol X runs a close second to SK Plus/Old Wolf Match Target/Center-X.

What's this about not running it after paraffin? Isn't regular Eley Club/Target paraffin? It seems the coating is different on newer boxes this year...james r chapman wrote:Didn’t like the Nelson

Re: Eley Bullseye Pistol .22 Ammo
The Bullseye X uses a different lube.
I’ve been told it’s a proprietary blend.
It is different then the paraffin or beeswax
Club and target is beeswax-tallow
Bullseye is Ep2723

Eley Bullseye X
I tested it out of both of my Hammerli 208's in a RR. Accuracy was good (1" and .80 10 shot groups at 50) but when
I shot it out of the hand I did not like the way it felt. It was like the powder burn rate was much faster with a sharp recoil.
It did still shot good I'm wondering if it was not made for the guys shooting the Nelson conversions? I'm going to stick
with the Eley Target / Club and not risk doing any damage to the Hammerli's

You can probably get a better deal at Champion's Choice. I heard Bullseye X was made specifically for the Pardini pistols...

Re: Eley Bullseye Pistol .22 Ammo
According to their website CC are out of stock:-
http://www.champchoice.com/store/Main.aspx?p=ItemDetailOptions&item=A04110
My understanding is that Eley Bullseye Pistol X has been developed specifically for Pardini USA and is sold "exclusively" through them. But, CC is a stocking dealer for Pardini USA and so I guess that they will be stocking the ammo too.
I have not seen it at Killough's, but since they are the primary distributor of other Eley ammo in USA it would not be surprising to see it offered by them, but surely they would have to respect the pricing structure already set by Pardini USA.
From my experience Pardini USA actually use another party to stock and ship the ammo on their behalf - communications between those two parties seems to be a bit "hit and miss" (unlike the ammo!!) and so it can sometimes be a pleasant surprise when the parcel shows up on your doorstep.

Re: Eley Bullseye Pistol .22 Ammo
I also see it as out of stock at CC...and not currently listed at Killough's. Ammoseek engine (good search tool for ammo and reloading components) does not list it as available at this time. I haven't checked with Pardini.
Re: Eley Bullseye Pistol .22 Ammo
Killoughs never listed it.
I had to get it thru Pardini usa

Re: Eley Bullseye Pistol .22 Ammo
FYI.
I just got this message from Karen at Pardini:-
"The Eley ammo sale was wildly popular, as you might guess. Our dropshipper has been swamped with orders. Your order and several others went out only last night."
I placed my order early August and mailed a check - the instruction to the dropshipper went out on about 10Aug20. No complaints, just passing on the update for those others who might have also ordered.
Another recent order for parts from Pardini has arrived in good time - so I guess that their recent over-load has been somewhat relieved. Good.

Another possibility, at a reasonable price:

Does this work for you guys?

Re: Eley Bullseye Pistol .22 Ammo
Mike,
Thanks, there have been several threads about the CMP Eley ammo, said to be quite good practise ammo.
But, no, it is no use to me. Why? Because the CMP is a Federal funded organisation and is not permitted to sell this ammo to non-US citizens. I am a member of an affiliated club and indeed am registered with the CMP (I just legged out for EIC 22), but cannot buy their ammo.

Re: Eley Bullseye Pistol .22 Ammo
I ordered two cases of Bullseye Pistol X from Pardini a few weeks ago. UPS delivered one yesterday and the second today - Yay!
Under the prevailing circumstances it is to be expected that delivery times will be a bit longer than normal. OK, just be patient!
FYI - Pardini USA use a drop-shipper for this ammo - Zanders of Sparta IL.

Re: Eley Bullseye Pistol .22 Ammo
Jim, same here. Waiting for my second case. Order status is ASAP, and "processing".
It took quite a while to get my first case - this order I placed on September 3.
It's still listed on the eStore, so they apparently haven't run out..... I hope!
