Looks like they have almost 2,000 boxes of RWS Target Rifle in stock.

Cool.

They also have Eley .22s, everything but Sport, Club and Target.  $15-19.50 per 50.

Just how good is the RWS Target Rifle?  At $6.75/50, it might not be like R50.

Yes, it's been a while for me. Even Eley has products I don't recognize.

They have pretty short backorders on Eley Sport if you call and place an order. $350ish/case.

Bought some Eley club the other day on Champions. Price between Standard,Target and Club is so close, I sprung for the better stuff. Works great at 50yards in the Walther.
Went to Dicks Sporting Goods yesterday. Never dreamed I would pay $40 for a brick of CCI Standard. Such as it is.

Not R50 for sure but very good. Shot several cases a  few years ago.

Over the years in my Anshutz position gun, one lot of R50 was incredible and the next batch wasn't nearly as good. I found Eley Tenex and Black to be much more uniform lot to lot. As far as R50 in your pistol? I think unless you're a high master shooter you're wasting your money. If CCI standard is shooting 1 1/2" @50 and R50 is shooting better than an inch, can you really hold that 1/2" one handed? The best I ever got through my Hamerli 215s was 7/10ths for a 10 shot group off bags with Tenex. Suffice to say I never shot a 100 slowfire @ 50. Suit yourself, let your pocket be your guide.

The RWS target rifle shoots fine in many pistols. I have had good luck with SK Standard Plus (same as Wolf Match-Target, all made by Lapua).  I think you have to spend a lot more to get a little better performance. Some years ago I did some testing of different High Standard barrels at 50 yards and two of the rounds I used were the RWS and SK. Here is a chart of the results and I hope this helps. YMMV.

At .08/rd, that's the best price you're going to find for a brick of SV.

Were these done with a ransom rest?

Sort of. They were shot from a Caldwell HAMMR which was a ripoff of a Ransom Rest. I think it was so close to a Ransom (even uses the same inserts) that it was infringing on Ransom's patents so they are no more.

Very true about Wolf. I got fine results from Wolf and SK (same stuff) in my Walther @ 50yds. If you get a chance try some SK Special Pistol Match. About the same price as Club, but is faster fps-wise. Cycles the gun very reliably.  Tried some when everyone was out of Eley Standard & Club. Point of impact virtually the same. Out of a 3 1/2" bbl Walther I get sometimes weird results accuracywise @ 50yds. Have to use quality ammo. My Hammerli would shoot anything and it loved CCI SV. Sorry I sold it.

I ordered a case of Eley sport on 9/20 from Champions Choice, they said it was on backorder. Has anybody gotten
any from them?

I tried ordering a case but they said they are no longer taking orders for Sport because of the demand and lack of firm ship dates from Eley.

No, I didn't get any, but I also ordered a case of Eley sport on 9/13. I emailed them last week asking for a status on my order, and this is the response I received.

"This ammunition is on backorder and the manufacturer can’t give us a firm date on delivery."

Bullseye bill,
I must have received the case I ordered about the time you ordered yours.  My backorder was only out for 3 weeks back then.

Just got a back order cancellation notice on my Eley Sport order from Champions Choice.  At some point I'm just going to have to give up on bullseye shooting.

Bullets.com has SK Standard Plus and the new Norma TAC22 for $60/brick with $10 shipping.

https://www.bullets.com/search/?s=ammo_type:Rimfire

2 brick limit per day.

Might be a bit pricey for some but if you want to shoot bad enough.

The Norma ammo is getting good reviews on RimfireCentral.com

I've got 2 brick coming this week and will try them at 50ft

I received my cancelation notice yesterday also. I wonder what happened, there's
no Sport on Gunbroker, so its not like the scalpers are buying it up. Did they just stop making it? CC doesn't even list it on their
website. I guess it's time to become one of those guys who waits for the truck to show
up at Walmart.

I spoke to a dealer who stated that the Eley distributor isn't even offering Eley Sport. He believes that it won't ever be offered again due to production costs.  I believe Champions Choice doesn't even have Sport listed on their website.

I think that the Eley-primed Aguila is the same thing as Eley Sport.  I wonder where we should start looking for that.

This rumor goes around a lot but they're not the same. They have different bullets and (more importantly) different recoil impulses.

I have always loved Eley Sport, but that was because it was readily available and cheap. If it stops being those two things, we're not friends any more.

It's kind of the same thing with CCI SV - I always liked it because it was accurate, reliable, and 7¢ per round. Well, at 20¢ a round it starts to lose its allure.
