Looking for the any results on minimum MV necessary to stabilize the 160 Brazos through a 1:16 twist barrel. Nothing mentioned here in older posts (specifically). Looking for something for 25 yds. I'm using very fast powder.

Looking at the Lyman data and doing a bit of quick math, I’d try to get a velocity of 900fps or so and then work up and down until you find you best load.  Matching the momentum (recoil impulse) of the 200 grain at 750, requires a velocity of 935 for the 160.  The Lyman data has starting loads that give that at around the 5.0 to 5.4 level…

So I’d start at 5.0 and work from there looking for accuracy and function…

I just shot 4.3grs of WST with the Brazo's 160's out of my RO (iron sights) during the Center Fire portion of a match this past weekend and had excellent results. Oh and crimp was .470. I should also mention this was a short course match so firing was done at 25yds and I do not know what the MV is.
