High Standard Help
AFTER NOT SHOOTING BULLSEYE FOR A SOLID 20+ YEARS I JUST JOINED A CLUB TO START SHOOTING IN JANUARY ON THE POSTAL LEAGUE. BOUGHT A HIGH STANDARD VICTOR FROM A CLUB MEMBER AND WAS JUST CURIOUS AS TO WHAT YEAR IT IS. SERIAL NUMBER IS SH27793. ANOTHER QUESTION IS BEST PLACE TO GET SOME EXTRA MAGAZINES AND BARREL WEIGHTS. ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

High Standard of Montana for parts. If you need a replacement Barrel, the LSP barrels are the way to go.

THANK YOU ALL FOR THE INFORMATION. FROM THAT AWESOME CHART IT LOOKS LIKE IT WAS MADE IN 1982 THE SAME YEAR I GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL. I JUST FINISHED DISASSEMBLY AND CLEANING AND FROM THE AMOUNT OF WEAR, THIS GUN SPENT MANY YEARS IN A SAFE OR ON THE SHELF. I WOULD SAY IT MAY NOT HAVE OVER A COUPLE THOUSAND ROUNDS THROUGH IT.

Re: High Standard Help
Get new recoil spring and some spare slide lock springs. They can get kinked easily and they’re tiny, they disappear quickly in the dust bunnies and dead rolly polly pill bugs, carpet, etc.

Re: High Standard Help
Wolff (Gunsprings.com) sells service packs for HS pistols. Every spring you need to replace and then some you don't (like the barrel stud plunger you don't have on a SH model)
I haven't shot any magazines but old originals from CT. I have heard the ones from InterarmsTX and High Standard in MT are good but may need minor adjustment. Stay away from the Triple-K mags. They may adjust to be useful, but they don't stay that way long. Stay away from: "Factory" magazines with a fluorescent lime green follower, magazines without 5 & 10 stamped on the side behind the loading button groove.

Who has thoughts and information about replacing the old school monster Ultra Dot mounted on a full length Weaver rail with a new Holosun 507-C version??

Re: High Standard Help
I would recommend finding someone with a reflex site and trying it to see how quickly you can pickup the dot for yourself on their gun before buying one.
I didn't have enough wrist flexibility from either wrist to make it work quick enough, so I stayed with a tube type. My brother n law likes it.

Re: High Standard Help
You might also try https://interarmstx.com/shop/ for parts. Not the most friendly website to work with, but lots of HS parts.
If you order the Wolff HS spring kit, the sear spring they include is for the NON adjustable trigger weight models. Not the correct sear spring for your Victor with adjustable trigger weight. I have heard that Wolff has the correct sear spring, but you have to call and ask for it. I have not confirmed that.
Stay Safe,
Tom
