Beretta 92FS Trigger weight
I am looking for guidance on how to increase the trigger weight for my Beretta 92FS. It is currently around 3# and it needs to be 4# for EIC competitions. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. It appears clear to me that it is not as simple as a 1911.
Also, who are some gunsmiths that would be recommended for Beretta work?
Thanks!!!!

You might try installing a new sear spring.

Re: Beretta 92FS Trigger weight
I'd start with heavier springs (hammer, trigger return, and sear).
All three are available, aren't very expensive, and aren't too difficult to install.
I picked up a new M9 this week and its trigger pull is 11 pounds double action and six pounds single to give you an idea on what stock Beretta parts will do.
If you're at three pounds single action I'd guess your sear/hammer have been worked on and lighter springs installed.

My 92fs is at 3#, but that is what I like it to be. I tweaked the sear spring a bit and have a lighter hammer spring, as well. Change the hammer to a heavier one (mine is 12#) and increase the tension on the sear spring. Buy a couple of new one sears in case you mess one up.

Re: Beretta 92FS Trigger weight
Try a heavier trigger return spring. The ones from Beretta USA are a thicker gauge wire than the ones from Italy in my experience. Return the mainspring back to the standard 20lb spring.retus223 wrote:I am looking for guidance on how to increase the trigger weight for my Beretta 92FS.
