Air Pistol: FWB 65
Old National Guard shooting team buddy had this thing. Been working on getting him to trade it to me for 20 years. Finally hauled it home yesterday. Gun looks good. An easy 95+%. Found an owners manual on Ebay. For the guys who don't do air this is the model air pistol that, prior to the introduction of the CO2 guns in the mid 80s, held every air pistol record in the books. FWIW these things at their intended range (10m) are the most accurate guns on the planet. I'll be back with pictures soon.

Added a picture of the target and a .177 pellet to help you guys better understand the match. FWIW It isn't an optical illusion. The X ring IS smaller than the nose of the pellet.
FWIW if you want to see just how good your trigger control and follow through are shoot air pistol.

So, Sending the 65 up to Tennessee to be checked out and serviced as necessary. Provided the opportunity to pull out the old FWB Model 2 CO2 gun and shoot it a little. I had forgotton what a pleasure it is to shoot. Came home and dug out 500 more pellets and targets. Filled both CO2 tubes. $8-$12 for 500 shots isn't bad..

FWB 65 Returned from Airgunwerks today. Master Tune, all new seals, and a new mainspring. Now the gun not only looks as new but should shoot and function better than new. Found an original owners manual on Ebay. It will be here soon. This thing should be ready to shoot this old man into the grave! Expecting it to take my shooting to the next level.

Good trigger control is good trigger control. Showed a 50' 22 rifle target to some buddies I shoot practical pistol (USPSA) with. They were amazed. Our sport is wide and varied. Have fun!!

Those are wonderful pistols, my father has an FWB 90 which is the same except an electric trigger. They are incredible to shoot.

FWB65- Beeman is where i got mine years ago. Many things to adjust for fine tuning. Used 2 different oils (synthetic silicone?) for maintenance that Beeman sold. Recoilless & very accurate. Wish i still had it. About $500+ new in the late 70's.

Great pistol! I have shot a couple of international matches and air pistol WILL teach you follow though! Those buggers are so accurate. If I could just teach mine not to do the wrong thing when I tell it to.............
