I need some help on pricing a gun.
I've found a rural gunshop that has a 95-98% high standard model 106 military supermatic trophy, marked Hamden, for sale for $900.
I believe it has the box and weights and 1 magazine. Is this a reasonable range?

Might be a tad high. I just went to GB and they had some nice choices for less. Like this one.

This is the one that I went back to look at twice.

Thanks, I hadn't seen those. It's identical to the first, but, marked trophy, I'll show it to the dealer.

Condition is everything. $600 To $900. is my guess.   http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=424948115  If i was selling mine, it would be $900, but i really dont think i could sell it for that ??  http://www.gunsinternational.com/high-standard-pistols.cfm?cat_id=57

Good place to look up models and parts info.   http://www.histandard.info/manuals/      Trophy & Citation models will be priced different. Trophy having the best finish.

Would you trade a series 80 Gold Cup for it?

No, I'm asking if a series 80 GC would be a reasonable trade for a $900 High Standard model 106 Military trophy

If I had one to trade I wouldn't trade for a 106.They are for the most part trading around 1100 and up.There is one Gold cup on GB that is way under priced and someone should grab. And it is going for 845.00. The one on GB looks like a very early 80 series and looks EIC ready. Just to put in perspective.

James,

Having said that a model 106 would be worth less then your Gold Cup I would like to point out that there are always exceptions to that statement as there are some exceptional High Standards out there. Mine comes close to being one of them. This is what you can do to a 106.Not exactly factory original Laughing high standard pistol Dscf0318

Factory original on the 106 above was a 7.25" fluted barrel.

Hey Len, you want the box it came in?

Jack,

I would love to have the box for it.I didn't even imagine it was still around. We still need to get together for a 25-2 match someday also.
