Ahh, 452AA, that brought back memories. I used it for shotgun and .45acp, it came in 10 pound kegs.
Before that I used Red Dot, it came in 15 pound kegs, I still have an empty I use for a wastebasket, the price is on it $32. I don't know why its sideways, its not that way on the computer.

Re: Pistol Powder List?
At risk of bringing a thread back once 'past it's prime' and being somewhat off topic besides ......
I see that I am not alone in shooting 700X powder. Does anyone know what the yellow 'flakes' are in the powder? Have we finally seen the arrival of the long threatened 'Taggants'? They are certainly a small percentage of the powder but there are enough of them so as to be hard not to notice. Maybe I need to separate them all out to shoot in the 2600s.

I seem to remember an article some years ago where they were said to be identifiers of powder type at the factory. Maybe so types of powder didn't get mixed up in packaging or some such thing.

Re: Pistol Powder List?
Grey Flake....? A hand written sign at the range today offered pistol powder. I called and went to collect some. It was told to me that this powder is made in Washington state for the military. The seller acquired it from a friend passing through there. Apparently it is available at the manufacturer. I have no idea who that is. Nothing on the label google's. The QR code doesn't read either.
A load data note states @ 6 grains it will throw a 185 to 800 FPS. I figure I'll try 4.8 and take notes.
Does anybody know a thing about this powder?
4 pounder for $110.00

Shooters,
I am still happy that a shotgun shooting feather-merchant talked me into swapping my keg of 700x for his 452AA. Better metering with my Star bushing type powder slide, among other advantages.
Still my out and out favorite is 5066 while it lasts.
