Bullseye Pistol Teams
I'm getting no where on the NRA website. What type of civilian pistol team competitions are there for Camp Perry. Is there a .22 Pistol Team Match? Thanks to all in advance.

You can look at last years results to see what teams competed and that will give you a better idea.

Re: Bullseye Pistol Teams
Pistol teams are defined in the NRA Rule book and in the individual match programs or match bulletins for any additional requirements, team matches and / or awards. Please note there are some special limitations for teams at the national matches concerning police and service members of open or state association teams (see item 1 and 2 of page 29 of last years Pistol program). Happy shooting.

Usually, the civilian teams are coordinated by a state or regional association or club. Is there an NRA Chartered state association in Texas?

Or, you and your buddies can form a 2 or 4 person open or industry team for aggregate (.22, CF, .45) matches or even a 3 person team for the preliminary match if they follow last years format. You can even get a team together as an "out of competition" team if you can't met the requirements for an "in competition" team and just want to shoot.
The state association teams are usually coordinated by each state association (Lots of state associations participate in this group and its nice to see all the state flags on the line during the team matches.)
Please remember temporary classifications cannot be used for National Match Team classification calculation.
As far as figuring out what to do at Perry for teams; helps to have someone who has been team captain and handled the paperwork before to guide you though the process the first time if you are elected to put together a team at the nationals (And you'll do it again for the CMP team match later). Otherwise, just hang out at the stat office looking confused with some money in your hand and eventually someone will stop and see if you need help :-D

Re: Bullseye Pistol Teams
Ghillieman, you should get in touch with the pistol chairman of your state association. The entry fee for a 4 man team is $179, but if you shoot on the state team it won't cost you anything and you'll get a team shirt. To answer your original question, the team matches consist of a national match course with each gun. So you shoot 30 rounds with the 22 on Thursday, 30 rounds CF on Friday and 30 rounds of 45 on Saturday. There's also the 3 man team that CR10x mentioned. That's on Wednesday, and all 3 guys shoot at the same time, with one using a 22, another cf, and the third a 45.
