First topic message reminder :
What is everyone's opinion on the Sig P210 as a bullseye gun? Accuracy there for 50 yards?

Re: Your thought on the Sig P210
Picked one up in the shop last week... Not bad looking. Picked it up to check it out. When I saw the hammer cam back when I pulled the trigger I put it back... Made me remember how dissapointed I was with the first SIG 1911 I handled years back. With luck the P210 will be like the 1911 and the next one I handle and all others will be the gun I expect them to be.

No need to change grips. The new Sig P210 Target is on the CMP approved pistol list. The grips are good to go.

Cmp rules
Pistols must have standard, symmetrical grips of wood or synthetic material with no palm swell or thumb rest. Weighted grips, metal grips and Pachmayr-style wrap-around grips are not permitted. The stock must be functionally identical for right or left-hand use.
Doesn’t look look a palmwell grip

Re: Your thought on the Sig P210
I finally got to handle one of the new P210 pistols today. The grip does have palmswells and in my hand it felt great. I liked the trigger, too. It's just a shame that SIG built a target pistol that isn't quite match ready for either NRA centerfire (no way to mount a dot sight) or CMP EIC (light trigger, questionable grip).
