Clean a Target... Show us!
First topic message reminder :
Just thought we could all use some Positive Reinforcement so I made this a "sticky" which means its always at the top in this topic. So when you shoot a clean target and want to hoot a little post it here for all to see!
Here is what I did last night at our weekly indoor league, 50 ft on the NRA reduced target, shot Timed fire style in four strings of 5 shots, we hang two targets at a time. 100 6x and a 100 7x this was a first for me to clean two in the same set of targets. Ended with a 493 26x out of possible 500.

It really did look and feel perfect, trick is to replicate the look and feel. That target is the exact reason I like bullseye shooting, my pursuit to excellence, I may never get there but I will keep trying.

Re: Clean a Target... Show us!
Bruce, After reading your post, I channeled my inner BruceV last night. Limited time and ammo but I put up my best shots at 25 yards 45acp. I think looking at good targets and imagining shooting them helps my brain. Plus context from the shooter of the target and helps reinforce the training to the subconscious. Thanks again for posting that up.

Rapid Fire, always expecting to see fliers when walking down range.

Re: Clean a Target... Show us!
Some nice targets. I especially like 9 Xs. (And, I'm fond of Hammerlis, too.) Congrats!

Youre correct, will try to eliminate the worry of fliers when going down range.
10X 45ACP from late 80s

Here is a target I saved from many years ago. Timed fire. 45ACP. Late 80s. SDPRC. Colt's Mark IV/70 with Bomar rib. Handloads (prolly 200SWC)
After several trials: Flickr doesn't work well. Google doesn't work at all.

Thanks, Chopper. But I doesn't see my pic with my post. One of my upload attempts must have worked.

Excellent target! I'd make some copies and leave them in various places to take note of now and then.

btw, nice target. May you shoot many more.
Do you call your shots? If you call your shots honestly and accurately, you should know your score before you go down range.
