M 17 trigger vs. M 41 trigger
I have a S&W 17-4 that I have had for close to 30 years now, I had a trigger job and tuneup on it shortly after I bought it and it has the best "crisp" trigger that I have ever shot on any pistol, absolutely no creep, or take up at all just a super clean break at about 2.5 pounds. My model 41 that I bought earlier this year has about the same weight of pull but it has some movement or takeup and just a little bit of creep in the pull. Can anything be done with the trigger in the model 41 or should I get used to it.
thanks
thanks

Total hammer hook/sear engagement on the S&w revolver is normally .008/.010,hence the very crisp break. The 41 has more engagement, but also can be made very crisp.

Thanks Jerry, sounds like something a good pistol smith can do but something I should leave alone, the pistol shoots so nicely otherwise I hate to mess with it. I got one of the 41's that seems to like any ammo fed through it and never a glitch when shooting it (so far).
