Remington 185 JSWC
Does anyone have any experience with the Remington Jacketed Semi-Wad Cutters? I have the opportunity to pick up 1.5k of them and wondered if anyone knows anything about them. Purpose would be EIC or Long line.

they are very accurate, I use to use them when you could buy them in 2k boxes from midway.
I found 4.3 of v310 would shoot 1.5'' out of a kart barreled wad gun at 50 yards from a ransom rest

Thanks David. I guess I have to spend some money now. :-)
My wad gun is a Kart barrel, too.

With the zero 185 fmj-hp that is available now I would not buy the remmingtons unless they were much cheaper.

$10/100 so they are a pretty good price. I don't remember what the bulk zeros were. But Noslers are ~$20/100 in bulk.

I can use them too. Very accurate and feed MUCH more reliably in my gun than the Noslers. Essentially the same bullet profile used in the old Federal red box match ammo that was the best around for years. I am down to one box of 50 that I have saved for gun testing.....I think they are that good.

50.00 for 500 is good, zeros are 63.00 for 500.

If you order a minimum of 1,000 Zero bullets, the shipping is included, so it may be a wash.DavidR wrote:50.00 for 500 is good, zeros are 63.00 for 500.

Good deal. I'd say jump on them with the iffy supply of components these days.jmdavis wrote:No shipping for these they are from an estate.

Oh wow. I thought it was260.00 for 2k, buts its only 1000, he's out of his gord that's 130 bucks for 500 that's over twice the price of zeros 185 fmj-hp and they shoot better imo.

Re: Remington 185 JSWC
think the last price I saw on them at Midway was around 450 or so for 2000.
have a stash of old 185 Winchesters so I had no interest in these.
they are $$ compared to Zero or Magnus
