red dot mount for 41 performance center
First topic message reminder :
I have been wanting to put a matchdot on my 41, I have looked at google image and bing trying to find any pictures of one on a 5.5 barrel and have only found one and that one had both the rings clamped on the front of tube and nothing on the rear, It looks as if you would have to mount it so the tube almost touches front sight to have a ring on each side of tube. Have any of you seen any other type of mount that would work so I could use both rings and keep the tube more rearward. I have a rifle mount thats offset but it would be way to tall. My other thought was to use a reflex type sight like the ultradot L/T or C more. But I use this for indoor bullseye so I think the tube type is better suited . Thanks for any direction/suggestions.

Here is the 1" 4 dot on a HS with a sleeved barrel. The set above is a Houston HS 10X barrel.
A versatile gun. Two barrels, two slides, Houston grips.

A single good quality steel ring is more than enough on a .22 and the zero return is excellent.
I know it looks odd but who cares ?
It works.

Yep that's what I want 25mm 4dot, so Im feeling pretty good about using both rings or one good one on front tube, Do you remember what brand ring you used, I think ive decided on burris zee or leopould PRW. Thanks for the pic.

Clarence, thanks for posting pic, Have not seen a marvel 22 before pretty cool!! I think its time to just get one ordered and try it out. I think I'm also going to upgrade to rings in case I choose to run just one. I see both you and Jack H run the extended tube, is that for improved outdoor use? or is there something else you gain. Thanks.

Pulled the pin, I decided to go 1in ultradot25 and the PRW rings. As much as I wanted multi dot I decided to keep it simple for now and maybe keep an eye out for a used a bit four dot later on. Thanks for all the info guys , should be able to get this on and tuned in just in time for our winter league .

Re: red dot mount for 41 performance center
Got the ultra dot mounted, tried a ring on each end mounted as far back as would go and it felt way to nose heavy, so ditched the rear ring and moved back like others had posted.feels balanced, I have to say the prw ring has to weigh more than the dot itself.I put it to use tues night only took a few adjustments to get on bullseye. The only complaint is some glare on glass from the overhead lights that are behind firing line that I haven't noticed with my tr25.
