iPhone Scope Mount
Ordered this from Amazon. Got good reviews. Anybody try it already? (or something like it?)

Re: iPhone Scope Mount
The rifle guys have been messing around with digiscoping. There are several discussions about if they are allowed in the rules. Most agree phone must be placed in airplane mode and it would be up to the RO/match director. Those that have tried to use them have said they can be fussy to deal with. Better off getting a scope with good eye relief.
Having said that I've been looking at mounts for about a year and haven't found one I really like yet. I like the idea as soon as your done with the target you can snap a pic.

I've also considered it. After seeing a similar mount I did try taking pictures of the Super Moon last year through my spotting scope. Phone/camera location is very touchy, but I was doing it by hand. I think it has potential. What brand/model is the one you purchased? You'll have to let us know how it goes.

This one looks more solid to me, same company, they make 2 sizes one for 25mm-39mm eyepiece and one for a 38mm-50mm eyepiece.

I've had my head stuffed very far up there on many occasions.
Never thought to take a picture with my iPhone, though.

Re: iPhone Scope Mount
I have used different versions of these in matches. The telephoto lens that I purchased could not pick up .22 holes at 25 yards so I didn't even try fifty. The best ones are the devices which attach your phone to a spotting scope.
I quit using them. It was too easy for my eye to stray away from what I was doing. Especially during a sustained fire string. I'll probably fiddle with them again at some point.
