38 Super Cast SWC Mould Recommendations
I am looking to cast 38 Super bullets for mid-range use. Do any of you casters out there have a recommendation for a mould mfgr. and bullet for 25 and 50 yd. loads. My initial thoughts are probably a SWC around 140-150 gn. but I am open to recommendations. I currently cast for the 45 with good results and want to do the same for 38 Super. Thank you.

Lee 358-140-SWC, as-cast and tumble-lubed, works well. Has a long bearing surface and shoots very well.
SAECO 925, 115gn L-SWC, is OK.
Some have said they get good results with SAECO 383, 140gn L-SWC, but I have never tried it.
However, I really find that JHPs are superior--except for cost.

What loads do you run with your jacketed Bullets?

Re: 38 Super Cast SWC Mould Recommendations
we've had great results with the Dardus 126 SWC in our supers for centerfire..
NEO has a mold very close if not exactly the same.. Theirs is listed at 128 with WW, so if you used something similar to Lyman#2 or the newer hardball alloy you'd be close to 126.

Any load mentioned must be worked up from starting load.
Nos 115gn JHP and 6.5gn N340
Hdy 115gn XTP and 5.0gn WSL
121gn JHP (Hdy Match or Zero 38 Super) and 4.7-5.7gn of 231/HP38 or 9.5-10.0gn AA7 or 5.6-7.2gn Silhouette or 6.7-7.8gn True Blue or 4.7-5.3gn of AA2 (check 4.7gn in particular)
Montana Gold 124gn JHP and 6.0-6.4gn of AA5 or 7.5-8.3gn of HS6 or 6.6-7.5gn of Silhouette
Zero 135gn FMJ and 7.5gn Silhouette
Spr 147 GC-HP and 7.0gn HS6 or 6.0gn H350.
I prefer the loads that are accurate over a range of charge weights so I can get the feel I like.

For the Dardus bullet, 3.6 to 3.8 of BE on a good gun will shoot under 2" and many times closer to 1.5. Hard to beat for a cast bullet at 50
