Model 52 question
I need info on buying a model 52. Shot one Thursday and really liked it. I don't need one for CF but like 38 SPL as I load it for my GP 100. My question is do I need to get a -2 or the no dash model. The prices online very from 800 to 2000 when you can find one. Don

Re: Model 52 question
the only real problem with the no dash and dash 1 is the extractor...or better yet finding an extractor if it fails..
the -2 extractors were available from Numerich last time I looked.
I own a -1 and have two new extractors I collected over the years... hard to find....
pick the -2 IMHO

Re: Model 52 question
If your an evil minded person (like me) you will go for the no dash. NRA's rules for a "Production" pistol say to qualify for production the pistol must not be single action only. They sorta missed the fact that the no dash is a single/double action. So, one of the greatest target pistols ever made qualifies for production class. That is one reason. They are also really nice. Personal opinion of course.
Len PS I have extra no-dash extractor if you ever need one
