Lubing JHP
Any one out there have experience on the effects of lubing JHP bullets with say 45/45/10.
Will it reduce barrel wear? Improve STD of velocities? Reduce group sizes?

Re: Lubing JHP
Waste of time. The jacket just engraves into the rifling and spins the bullet. Lubrication is not needed. Even "moly" coating pistol ammo is a waste. In order to reduce SD of the velocity, you usually have to get the velocities.higher than normal for bullseye. With that you also get recoil. Lots of recoil. Accuracy suffers from that. So you live with the higher SD and have a more manageable pistol.
