WST 185gr load data
I just tried WST and boy am I impressed with how well this powder meters. According to burn rates, it is slower than Bullseye, but enough to affect loads? I would appreciate data and comments on experience with the powder. Thanks, dipnet

Re: WST 185gr load data
I use 3.8 grains for 25 yards and 4.1 for 50 yards, 185 grain LSWC. That is fairly light loads.

With the 185 LSWCHP I run 4.2 at 25yds. 4.6 at 50yds. 4.9 with Nosler JHP.

I use 3.8gr WST with 200gr LSWC for indoor 50' practice. Its clean, light load with very little smoke.
For longer distances outdoor, matches and different bullets I use other powders that produce better groups for me.

Re: WST 185gr load data
I would think 4.6 grains would be getting pretty hot. I'm not very good (high SS scores on my best day) and I shot a 94 slow fire with 4.1 grains at 50 yards.

Re WST 45 load
All,
Thanks very much for the useful information. I use the Zero LSWC HP for timed and rapid fire and the Zero JHP for the long line and now I've got a good idea where to begin. I've calibrated both long and short-line loads to have the same POI with respects to my red dot, e.g., 185gr LSWC HP is 3.8gr BE, fed or win primer, crimp 0.469, OAL 1.20"; 185gr JHP over 4.50gr VVN310, fed or win primer, crimp 0.469, OAL 1.20. I've incorporated the data you all shared into a 45 load data pfd file, copy attached.
I began experimenting with this powder for 32 ACP loads, using the Uniquetek micrometer powder bar, and observed incredible load to load consistency. This was later backed up with SDs less than 10.
Any powder that meters this well and is not as dirty as BE is on interest. NOTE: the attached data are for reference only; standard safety protocols should be used (everybody's gun is different). Cheers, dipnet
