Just took delivery of my custom pistol from Jon!!
I've been talking with Jon for over 6 months and have eagerly been awaiting my first custom wadcutter pistol. I am happy to say it was worth the wait. Its as beautiful as it is accurate. Its built on a caspian frame, caspian slide, kart barrel, EGW innards and VZ grips. I had Jon polish the flats a bit more than his usual, what can I say I like a pretty gun. Mounted the Aimpoint 9000SC for a total weight of 3.25 pounds.
This is by far the tightest pistol I've handled. The recoil is very mild and I picked up the trigger very easily on my first range session. I'm just now hitting Expert but was very pleased how I shot the pistol, the picture below is 20 shots slow fire on a 25 yard slow fire target and 20 shots timed fire.
Jon was super easy to deal with and gave updates as the pistol progressed. Unfortunatly the pictures don't do it justice, trust me she's gorgeous. Thanks Jon!

Sorry, just added the link to the targets. It would be scary what someone with real skills could do with this pistol.

I have a 6" by Jon, every match I think I set a new personal best in some fashion. Just shot a 97,98,100 slow fire in today's match.

The right target looks like a sharp shouldered wadcutter. the left looks like the #801

They're both Magnus 801's, what you're seeing is the difference in crappy targets and good targets. The rapid target is Kruger brand where the slow fire is National Target.

Jon is an old USAMU member and has been pistol smithing since the 80's if I recall. He's kind of a staple around here for good advice.

Jon Eulette. He posted in this thread. He's a pistol smith. He turned a Springfield Armory Mil Spec of mine into a lean mean tack driving machine! Shot my first 100-10X with it during a timed fire practice last week. Shot a 98 slow fire with it back in May during the regionals. He stays busy but he's worth the wait.

Beautiful pistol, zanemoseley.
Jon rebuilt my Les Baer National Match; now it is truly an x ring at fifty yards pistol. He's now building for me a dedicated lower for my Nelson conversion....can't wait.
Congratulations on your new toy.
