I am seeking a good load for 185gr Zero SWCHP.
Gentlemen I am asking for the privilege of standing on the shoulders of giants, your experience. I have lost my notes when I ordered zero bullets from Roze distributors. I am looking for a good target load using 185 gr SWCHP swaged lead. I am looking for the speed and recoil spring to handle these loads. As I understand it the speed is fairly low and will be shooting this load through a Kimber Classic Gold Match pistol with an 30 mm Ultra Dot Match Dot II on top. Any recommendations are very highly appreciated and thank you!

3.8 to 4.2 WST, 3.8 to 4.2 Bullseye, or 3.5 to 4.0 vihtavouri N310 should work. The Bullseye load will be dirtier. 0.468 crimp.

For 50 yards, 4.0 grains of Alliant Bullseye. If your pistol will function reliably, try 3.8 grains. A 12 lbs. recoil spring should work. Taper crimp to .470".

I have been getting 1.75" groups with mixed and well used 25 yd brass with:
Zero SWCHP
5.4 BE86
Crimp= .463
You really need to test versions of loads. I have tested loads others have posted and they do not work for me. Take my load from above and test 5.4, 5.6, 5.8 loading 5 rounds. If one looks good then try 10 rounds and or try 5.5 and 5.7. I use a sandbag and 25 yd target placed at 50 yds. The 4moa dot on the 25 yd target at 50 works really good to help you shoot from a sandbag and get good groups.
For the zero SWCHP I have discovered it will lead if you shoot it too fast. So keep it under 800fps.

4.0 of Bullseye for me. They shoot well in both wad guns, the ball gun, and the 625 revolver.

I would suggest using 3.7-4.2 grs Bullseye or WST with .2 gr more than bullseye loads. Test them in your pistol, it will tell you which load to use.
