Northern Virginia Bullseye Instruction?
Hi all, I'm new to this forum and sport.
I have started shooting again after a decade+ away and started doing NRA 900, with an eye on 2700's eventually.
I am able to go to my local indoor range 3+ days a week, but would like professional instruction/coaching to make the most of my time.
NoVA seems to be a tactical world, any recommendations for some person to person training. I want to ensure I don't pick up some horrible habits (I am sure I have them).
Any leads would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
dsd

Start with this and www.bullseyepistol.com
After that, for in person training travel to a zins/moody clinic.

The Izaak Walton League chapter in Centerville (off Rt 28 and Compton Rd) used to have some type of Bullseye instruction/introduction events. Google their website and you might find something, or at least a POC. Not sure if membership is required or not to participate.

I've been doing 900's at the Monthly Conventional at Fairfox Rod and Rifle. I also hope to start shooting with Metro Pistol League at NRA HQ Range.
I practice at Silver Eagle in Ashburn (25yd).

I'm a former bullseye shooter, just getting back into the sport. I'm intending to start shooting at/with the Metro Pistol League as well. Maybe there's an opportunity to meet up and practice together.

Metro Pistol League starts up this year on September 10th at the NRA HQ Range in Fairfax, VA at 5PM (and meets every Monday after that, except for holidays, at 5PM). We'll have at least four relays - as long as you show up before 7:30PM, you're guaranteed a chance to shoot.
It'll be $11 per shooter - your first 60-shot relay (20 slow, 20 timed, 20 rapid) will be shot for-record, and any subsequent relays you shoot will be free practice.
See y'all there!

I practice at the NRA Range 2-3 times a week. Get to shoot at 50 yards there. It would be great to see some more targets at the deep end of the pool if you want to practice. I would be happy to help any way I can. I also shoot the FRGC 900's and 2700's so we may have met already. MPL starts next Monday! Hope to see lots of new shooters this year.

Mike/Kent,
I know we have met (Mike, I'm the rookie with the AW93 and lots of questions).
I would love to meet up sometime. Right now, I feel my biggest issue is grip and am working hard on that and would love some coaching on the issue.
